This leadership role involves managing the department responsible for economic youth welfare, legal guardianship, and daycare financing for the City of Ratingen. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating procedural workflows, processing U3 childcare funding applications, and managing legal appeals. Required Skills

Education

Qualified for the second entry level of career group 2 (formerly higher non-technical administrative service), or completion of Angestelltenlehrgang II, or a Law degree (First State Examination or Diploma in Law).

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in assigned activities at the A9/EG 9b level or higher within the public sector
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation and handling conflict situations
  • Leadership experience or successful completion of a junior management training program is preferred
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills
