Job Summary

This role involves the independent and responsible management and maintenance of the sewer network database, acting as the central control element for the city's urban drainage department. The specialist will be crucial in conceptualizing and planning future digital processes, including designing the database for future orientation using 3D visualization and Digital Twin technologies. This position is within the City of Ratingen's Civil Engineering Department, which manages 450 km of sewer network and 236 special structures, with an annual investment volume of approximately 1 million Euros for structural refurbishment. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Geoinformatics or Civil Engineering with a strong GIS specialization, possesses deep practical experience with GIS applications (specifically ESRI products and Python), and is ready to contribute to the maintenance and expansion of critical urban infrastructure within a cooperative team environment.
