Job Summary

As a Scientific Associate in the field of Onco-Genetics and Somatics, you will play a critical role in patient-oriented diagnostics by creating medical reports for molecular (hemato-)oncology and somatic genetics. Your daily responsibilities include evaluating Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data, liquid biopsy results, and utilizing specialized IT systems like GePaDo and MOLIS. You will be at the forefront of medical innovation, optimizing NGS analysis pipelines and developing new analytical methods to expand the diagnostic portfolio. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Biology or a comparable natural science field; a PhD is welcomed but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Professional experience in (hemato-)oncological or molecular pathological diagnostics
  • Practical experience with molecular biological and genetic procedures, specifically NGS
  • Experience in handling peripheral blood, bone marrow, and FFPE samples
  • Experience in evaluating somatic variants according to WHO and Tier classifications
  • Experience in medical report generation and clinical interpretation of genetic data
