Job Summary
As an AI Prompt Engineer specializing in Intelligent Document Processing, you will be the driving force behind the development and orchestration of autonomous AI solutions. Your daily responsibilities include designing and optimizing high-performance prompts for Google DocAI and VertexAI to automate document analysis, classification, and data extraction. You will bridge the gap between business vision and technical implementation by translating requirements into user stories and roadmaps, while ensuring the seamless integration of AI agents into internal systems like CRM and archives. This role is unique for its end-to-end ownership—from prototyping to deploying production-ready cloud applications on the Google Cloud Platform. You will also act as a strategic consultant, performing cost-benefit analyses, managing AI governance risks such as bias and data protection, and mentoring teams through workshops. This position offers a dynamic environment with flexible working models, including two days of remote work, and the opportunity to redefine input management for a major insurance group.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Extensive professional experience in Prompt Engineering for precise AI model control
- Proven experience with leading document AI solutions such as Google DocAI or similar platforms
- Deep understanding of LLM architectures, NLP, and Machine Learning
- Demonstrated experience in requirements management and translating business visions into technical features
- Strong background in analyzing, modeling, and redesigning end-to-end processes using AI applications
- Experience in managing the full lifecycle of cloud-based AI applications

- Location constraints: Primary workplace is in Dortmund or Hamburg. Hybrid work model allows for at least 2 days of mobile/home office per week.
