Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Institute for Physiology and Biochemistry of Nutrition at the Max Rubner-Institut in Karlsruhe. As a Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in organizing and conducting experimental research focused on nutrient status and metabolism during various developmental phases. Your daily responsibilities include performing molecular biological and analytical investigations, such as cell culture management, RNA/DNA extraction, and protein biochemistry techniques like Western Blot and ELISA. You will also be responsible for preparing tissue samples for imaging and conducting epigenetic analyses. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Biotechnological Assistant (BioTA), Medical Technical Laboratory Assistant (MTLA), Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a research environment
  • Professional experience working with cell cultures
  • Professional experience in performing protein biochemical, molecular, and cell biological analytical methods
  • Experience in planning and conducting experiments with primary cells and cell lines
  • Experience in tissue preparation for immunofluorescence imaging
