Job Summary

The Max Rubner-Institut (MRI) is seeking a Deputy Director for the Institute of Nutritional Epidemiology and Physiology in Karlsruhe. In this high-level leadership role, you will support the Institute Director in research management and administrative oversight while simultaneously leading the Nutritional Epidemiology specialist group. Your daily activities will involve coordinating scientific research, conducting statistical data analysis, and drafting evidence-based statements for policy advice to the Federal Ministry. You will be responsible for acquiring third-party funding, managing international research collaborations, and publishing findings in prestigious journals. This position is unique as it offers a dual path of either a permanent civil servant appointment (Besoldungsgruppe B1) or a senior public service contract (TVöD E15).
