Job Summary

As an IT Platform and Solutions Architect for one of Europe's largest air rescue organizations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that specialized applications and central data platforms function as a cohesive, scalable, and secure ecosystem. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve designing and implementing integrations for modern applications within cloud (primarily Microsoft Azure) and hybrid environments. You will be tasked with coordinating systems to ensure sustainable scaling, developing robust security concepts in line with ISO 27001 and GDPR, and evaluating emerging technologies to meet organizational needs. This role is unique as it combines high-level architectural strategy with the meaningful mission of supporting life-saving air rescue operations. You will work closely with security specialists and use tools like Terraform and Ansible to maintain architecture standards. Required Skills

Education

Degree in (Business) Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable IT vocational training. Certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, or Kubernetes are desirable.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT architecture for complex platforms
  • Experience in creating IT architecture and integration concepts
  • Practical experience with Cloud and Hybrid environments, specifically Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code solutions, virtualization, and container technologies
  • Experience in network and security competence including protocols and identity management
  • Experience with compliance requirements such as ISO 27001 and GDPR
