Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Chair of Molecular Genetics at the University of Konstanz in an internationally competitive laboratory setting. As a Laboratory Technical Assistant, you will perform a variety of biochemical and molecular biology tasks, including recombinant protein purification, PCR-based mutagenesis, and the creation of stable cell lines. Beyond wet lab work, you will handle administrative duties such as ordering supplies, documenting data, and providing technical guidance to students. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant (BTA, MTA, CTA, or equivalent) or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in cell biological, molecular biological, and biochemical techniques is preferred
  • Experience in the purification of recombinant proteins
  • Experience in creating stable cell lines
  • Experience in administrative laboratory tasks and data documentation
  • Open to entry-level candidates who have completed their Technical Assistant (TA) training
