Job Summary

As a Senior Innovation Portfolio Manager at the Cyber Innovation Hub of the Bundeswehr (CIHBw), you will play a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation of Germany's armed forces. Based in Berlin, you will lead multiple high-impact innovation projects that bridge the gap between the startup ecosystem and military requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve validating technical solutions from startups, conducting product demonstrations, and collaborating directly with soldiers and civilian personnel to implement innovative tools. You will facilitate workshops, apply agile methodologies like SCRUM, and present project outcomes to high-level stakeholders. Required Skills

Education

University degree in a relevant field combined with professional experience.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in innovation management
  • Proven experience in leading projects within an innovation context
  • Experience in interdisciplinary teams and managing complex, process-oriented tasks
  • Experience in testing and experimenting with innovative solutions, ideally in the public sector
  • Good knowledge of the organizational structures of the Air Force (Luftwaffe) or Navy (Marine)
  • Advanced proficiency in applying agile methods and digital technologies
