Job Summary

This high-level leadership role at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) involves managing a department of approximately 30 employees focused on the safety of containers for radioactive materials. The successful candidate will oversee the scientific and technical development of the field, ensuring the rigorous testing, analysis, and evaluation of transport and storage containers in accordance with legal mandates. You will initiate engineering research projects regarding mechanical and thermal impacts on container integrity and represent the BAM in national and international regulatory committees.
