Job Summary

The Institute of Neuroanatomy is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher and a PhD Student to join an international team investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration. Based in a lab focused on translational research, successful candidates will utilize human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) models, organoids, and assembloids to study diseases like ALS. The Postdoc will lead cutting-edge research, develop 'trauma-in-a-dish' models, and participate in teaching human anatomy to medical students. The PhD candidate will focus on investigating pathomechanisms linked to rare ALS variants using microscopy and omics approaches. These roles are ideal for researchers passionate about advanced imaging and multi-omics within a structured academic environment. The positions offer secure public service contracts (TV-L), modern infrastructure, and a strong emphasis on work-life balance and professional development in a collaborative international setting.
