Job Summary

This PhD opportunity focuses on conducting a doctoral project centered on Schwann cell adaptation during peripheral nerve repair, utilizing the zebrafish model. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of scientific research, including planning, executing, and evaluating experiments using advanced techniques such as confocal microscopy, laser-induced nerve lesions, and pharmacological modulation. Key responsibilities also involve molecular biology tasks like plasmid cloning and microinjections for creating transgenic zebrafish lines, alongside the essential care and monitoring of the zebrafish colony. The role requires a candidate with a completed Master's degree in Biology or a related field, strong practical molecular biology skills, and excellent English proficiency (C1). It is an ideal position for a highly motivated individual seeking to contribute significantly to neuropathology research in a structured academic environment, with the goal of achieving a doctoral degree within a limited 3-year term (with potential extension).
