Job Summary

This Postdoctoral position at the Institute for Experimental Molecular Imaging focuses on the non-invasive characterization of bowel and liver tissues within the Gut-Liver SFB 1382 framework. The successful candidate will spend their day-to-day planning and conducting preclinical imaging experiments on mice, utilizing technologies such as Computed Tomography (CT), optical imaging, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Beyond data collection, the role involves sequence optimization, FAIR data management, grant writing, and managing collaborative research projects. This position is ideal for a scientist with a strong background in basic science and immunology who enjoys working independently in a high-tech medical research environment. Required Skills

Education

Doctorate (PhD) in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Pharmacy, or Human Biology/Molecular Medicine

Experience

  • Professional experience in experimental research within biology or molecular medicine
  • Demonstrated experience in molecular and magnetic resonance imaging techniques
  • Practical experience in MRI sequence optimization
  • Experience in planning, conducting, and documenting scientific experiments
  • Preferred experience in animal handling and FELASA B certification
  • Experience in managing and organizing cooperative research projects
