Job Summary

As a Payroll Specialist for the Diocese of Speyer, you will join the Central Payroll Office (ZGASt) responsible for managing the compensation of approximately 6,500 employees. Your daily responsibilities include independently processing payroll for a defined group of staff, maintaining master data, and calculating sick pay while ensuring strict compliance with tax and social security regulations. You will serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding payroll inquiries and manage communication with external authorities such as health insurance providers and social security agencies.
