Job Summary

As a Senior Fullstack Software Developer at the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), you will join the Competence Center for Digital Financial Investigations to combat organized crime. You will play a pivotal role in developing scalable applications that assist investigators in tracking complex transaction patterns within blockchains, specifically involving cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ether. Your daily responsibilities include leading software projects, designing REST APIs, and developing both front-end interfaces and back-end services using modern frameworks. This role offers the unique opportunity to apply cutting-edge technology to high-stakes criminal investigations, requiring a mix of technical leadership, agile methodology, and innovative problem-solving. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's, Magister, or Diploma) in Computer Science or a comparable STEM degree with an IT focus.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in software development
  • Experience in a lead developer or technical leadership role is preferred
  • Professional experience with agile software development and DevOps practices
  • Experience in conceptual work, including requirement gathering and effort estimation
  • Experience in developing and integrating REST APIs and automation scripts

Additional

  • Must be willing to undergo an extended security clearance (Section 9 SÜG). Requires readiness for occasional business travel (3-5 times per year) and occasional on-call duty or overtime due to critical investigation support. Applicants must be eligible for public service employment in Germany.
