Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position based in Hannover offers a vital role in the field of genetic diagnostics within the amedes Group. As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for the day-to-day creation of medical reports in molecular hemato-oncology and somatic genetics, directly influencing individual patient therapy plans. Your work involves utilizing cutting-edge Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology and liquid biopsy analysis to evaluate somatic variants. Beyond routine diagnostics, you will actively optimize NGS analysis pipelines, develop new analytical methods, and work within certified quality management systems. This role is ideal for scientists who enjoy combining technical laboratory expertise with clinical interpretation. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Biology or a comparable natural science field; a PhD (Doctorate) is welcomed but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Professional experience in (hemato-)oncological or molecular pathological diagnostics
  • Extensive experience with molecular biological and genetic procedures, specifically NGS
  • Practical experience handling peripheral blood, bone marrow, and FFPE samples
  • Proven experience in evaluating somatic variants according to international classification standards
  • Experience in medical report generation and clinical interpretation of genetic data
