Job Summary

This role is situated within the State Office for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Geology (LUNG M-V), a scientific-technical environmental authority in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. As a Project Associate, you will be instrumental in building the state's environmental data infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the review, evaluation, and correction of species occurrence data within the specialized MultiBaseCS databases. You will also be responsible for acquiring new monitoring data and digitizing analog records into standardized digital formats. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent university degree in Bioinformatics, Biology, Landscape Planning with an IT focus, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in handling and managing databases
  • Professional experience in reviewing and correcting biological or environmental data sets
  • Experience in the digitization of analog data records using standardized templates
  • Experience in process-oriented workflows and IT documentation
