This leadership position involves heading Department 420 at the State Office for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Geology (LUNG M-V) in Güstrow. The successful candidate will oversee the analysis of inorganic-chemical and physical conditions of soil, groundwater, and air. Key responsibilities include planning and executing analytical work in spectroscopic and solids laboratories, as well as providing expert geoscientific advice to local authorities and representing the state in national committees. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master or Diploma) in Chemistry, Geosciences (focus on Geochemistry), or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in geochemistry or soil science
  • Minimum of one year of leadership and management experience
  • Experience in evaluating environmental conditions through chemical and physical testing
  • Experience in providing technical consultation to government or municipal bodies
