Job Summary
This role involves the technical operation and maintenance of the state-wide air quality monitoring network for the State Office for Environment, Nature Conservation and Geology (LUNG M-V). As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all measuring devices, containers, and technical infrastructure. Your daily tasks include setting up and operating passive sampler measurements, managing dust filter sample exchanges, and operating the calibration laboratory. You will also participate in nationwide proficiency tests to ensure high quality standards. This position is ideal for a technically skilled professional looking for a permanent role in the public sector, contributing directly to environmental protection and air quality management in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Required Skills
Education
State-certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker) in a relevant field such as Environmental Protection Technology, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
Experience
- Professional experience in the maintenance and repair of technical measuring systems
- Experience in operating calibration laboratories or quality assurance systems
- Experience in handling electronic measuring devices for fault diagnosis
- Experience in environmental monitoring or air quality measurement is preferred
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license required; willingness to undertake regular state-wide and nationwide business trips; German language proficiency at C1 level (CEFR) is mandatory.
