This role involves working within the State Office for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Geology (LUNG M-V) in Güstrow, Germany. As a technical specialist in the 'Solids and Special Inorganic Analytics' department, you will hold primary responsibility for advanced spectrometric equipment, specifically X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometers (AFS). Your daily activities will include performing elemental analysis, conducting technical evaluations of results, and maintaining rigorous quality assurance standards in accordance with DIN ISO EN 17025. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a State-Certified Technician specializing in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Physics Technology, Environmental Technology, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in an analytical laboratory
  • Experience in the technical setup and operation of spectrometric analysis systems
  • Experience with control and evaluation software for spectrometry (specifically XRF)
  • Experience in sample preparation techniques including melt and press preparation
  • Knowledge of inorganic trace element analysis in soils and solids
