Job Summary
This role is for a dedicated Project Officer specializing in Joint Intelligence Surveillance and Recognition (JISR) and Alliance Future Surveillance and Control (AFSC) within the German defense sector. The successful candidate will coordinate national and international projects related to imaging reconnaissance, managing all project components from requirements definition to budget oversight and risk mitigation. This involves representing Germany's position in NATO working groups, ensuring compliance with military aviation and information security standards, and preparing systems for operational use by military units. The position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in project and risk management, capable of navigating complex national and international defense collaborations.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or University Diploma in Information Technology and Electronics or Aerospace Engineering
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience with principles, procedures, and regulations for requirements determination, coverage, and utilization within the Bundeswehr (e.g., CPM, PBN)
- At least 2 years of experience in Project Management, evidenced by certification (e.g., PMI-CAPM-level D, Prince2-Foundation)
- At least 2 years of experience in Risk Management (desired)
- At least 2 years of experience in international armaments cooperation / armaments cooperation (desired)
- At least 2 years of experience in Quality Management (desired)
- At least 2 years of experience in implementing information security requirements (desired)
- At least 2 years of experience in using project management tools (e.g., ARM, MS Project, SAP, SASPF, ITU-CPM, MISPL XT) (desired)
- At least 2 years of experience in utilization management and applying related processes (desired)
- At least 2 years of experience in planning, awarding, and monitoring repair measures and procurements (desired)
Languages
Additional
- Must possess German citizenship; willingness to undergo an extended security clearance (Ü3) and medical examination; commitment to the liberal democratic basic order; willingness to undertake regular domestic and international business trips and potentially deliver presentations.
