Job Summary
The Bundeswehr Hospital Berlin is seeking a dedicated Medical Physics Expert to oversee radiation protection in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology. This role involves comprehensive responsibilities, including patient and personnel radiation protection, dose assessment, optimization of radiation application, and dose management. The expert will also be crucial in reviewing dose calculations for nuclear medicine therapies and supporting equipment procurement and acceptance testing. A significant part of the role includes conducting staff training, refresher courses in radiation protection, and monitoring dose management processes integrated with hospital information systems. Required Skills
Education
Master's or university diploma in Physics or Medical Physics (natural science or comparable medical-technical field)
Experience
- Professional experience in X-ray diagnostics
- Professional experience in scientific work (demonstrated by doctorate or professional activity)
- Professional experience with common Office applications and data processing, documentation, and management of imaging system data
- Professional experience with specialist knowledge in radiation protection for medical physics experts, at least in the field of nuclear medicine (desired)

- Must comply with the Measles Protection Act; Must possess German citizenship; Must commit to the liberal democratic basic order; Must agree to a health suitability assessment; Must agree to an extended security check (successful Ü2 security clearance is mandatory); Willingness to undertake regular domestic and international business trips and potentially give presentations; Willingness to participate in necessary training courses (e.g., acquisition of specialist knowledge in radiation protection for medical physics experts); Willingness to participate in regular further education and training; For potential civil servant status, generally must not have completed 50th year of age at time of appointment.
