Job Summary

This role is situated within the Environmental Office of the City of Dortmund, specifically in the 'Climate, Air, and Noise' division. As a Project Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of municipal heat planning and energy use strategies to help the city achieve climate neutrality by 2035. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing all project phases of heat planning, establishing agile steering groups, and coordinating stakeholders for district heating and renewable energy concepts. You will also be responsible for acquiring funding, managing grants, and providing technical statements for urban planning procedures. Required Skills

Education

  • Professional experience in creating energy concepts and utilizing modeling/visualization methods.
  • Proven experience in project management and leading complex climate protection projects.
  • Experience in target-group-oriented communication and moderation of complex technical topics.
  • Experience with municipal planning processes such as land-use and development planning.
