Job Summary

This role involves managing a diverse range of civil engineering projects for the German Federal Government, specifically within the Nörvenich project office. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of infrastructure projects, including earthworks, utility networks (sewage and rainwater), road construction, and outdoor facilities. Day-to-day, you will act as a primary point of contact on-site, coordinating with contractors, authorities, and users while managing interdisciplinary teams for the Federal Ministry of Defense. Key responsibilities include conducting procurement procedures, controlling external planners, and managing phases 1-9 of the HOAI. What makes this position unique is the opportunity to work on high-security and specialized federal properties, such as NATO airfields and military barracks, while contributing to the goal of a climate-neutral federal administration by 2045. Required Skills

Education

Degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Master) in Civil Engineering or a comparable field; alternatively, a qualification as a State-Certified Technician or Master Craftsman with relevant experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the construction and real estate industry
  • Extensive experience in civil engineering projects including earthworks and infrastructure
  • Experience in managing external specialist planners and contractors
  • Professional experience in project controlling (budget, schedule, and quality risks)
  • Alternative qualification: 6 years of engineering-level experience required for candidates with Master Craftsman or State-Certified Technician titles
