Job Summary

As a Process Engineer in Food Technology, you will lead the planning and conceptual design of new plants, repairs, and conversions within the chemical and food industries. Your daily responsibilities include designing P&ID flowcharts, calculating process engineering parameters for optimal plant design, and creating technical data sheets for pumps, heat exchangers, and tanks. You will be responsible for cost estimation, project scheduling, and ensuring all documentation meets legal standards. This role is highly dynamic, involving process simulation, optimization, and close communication with clients and authorities for permit engineering. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma) in Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and conceptual design of plants in the chemical or food industry
  • Experience in calculating process engineering parameters for plant dimensioning
  • Practical experience in creating P&ID flowcharts and technical data sheets
  • Experience with simulation software, preferably ChemCad
  • Experience in project management including cost estimation and deadline monitoring
  • Familiarity with regulatory engineering and permit application processes

Additional

  • Must be able to handle authority engineering and prepare BImSchG documents for permit procedures. Requires independent working style and social competence for client communication.
