Job Summary

This role involves managing, planning, and overseeing civil engineering projects within interdisciplinary teams for the Building and Real Estate Management of North Rhine-Westphalia (BLB NRW). You will be responsible for high-profile new construction, renovation, and infrastructure measures, ensuring projects meet budget, schedule, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with external consultants and contractors, managing contracts and claims, and handling all project phases from initial design to final documentation. The position is particularly attractive due to its focus on achieving a climate-neutral real estate portfolio by 2030, offering significant job security, a flexible working window from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and the option for up to 60% mobile work from anywhere in Germany. You will work on some of the largest and most demanding real estate portfolios in Europe while benefiting from structured onboarding and a dedicated internal training academy.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma, Bachelor, or Master) in Civil Engineering or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the planning and execution of complex civil engineering projects
  • Experience in managing external contractors and freelance professionals
  • Proven expertise in contract and claim management within the construction sector
  • Experience in interdisciplinary team collaboration and coordination with regulatory authorities

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid driver's license for operating service vehicles is required. Must be eligible for public service employment (TV-L or A12 LBesO A). Work location is Münster, with up to 60% remote work capability within Germany.
