Job Summary

This role involves the inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of overhead line systems for the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) in Wels. As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will operate specialized construction vehicles and locomotives, with full training provided during employment. Your daily responsibilities include managing material requirements, maintaining technical documentation such as test protocols and construction reports, and providing technical guidance to on-site workers. The position is ideal for those who enjoy working outdoors and are looking for a clear career path toward a Master Craftsman (Meister) qualification. You will also act as a safety post when necessary to ensure secure construction site operations. Required Skills

Education

Completed apprenticeship (Lehre) in Electrical Machine Technology, Electrical Engineering, Railway Electrical Engineering, or a Technical School (Fachschule) degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering or electrical machine technology
  • Experience in maintaining technical records, test protocols, and performance records

  • Willingness to perform night shifts and on-call duties
