PhD Researcher in Theoretical Hadron Physics | PhD Researcher (m,f,x) in theoretical hadron physics
Ruhr-Universität Bochum
Job Summary
This part-time (75%) research position offers a three-year opportunity to join a specialized group focused on theoretical hadron physics. As a PhD Researcher, you will engage in cutting-edge research involving lattice QCD computations, specifically focusing on hadron scattering amplitudes and spectral functions. Your day-to-day work will involve calculating baryon scattering amplitudes and analyzing their quark mass dependence. The role is ideal for a physicist with a strong analytical mindset who enjoys both theoretical modeling and numerical computation. This position is particularly attractive due to its integration into a research environment that explores chiral effective theories and nuclear physics, providing a robust foundation for an academic career in high-energy physics. You will be expected to contribute actively to the group's existing research directions while completing your doctoral studies.
