Job Summary
This role involves working as a Research Associate at the Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology, focusing on innovative blood experiments using human patient and volunteer material. Key responsibilities include planning, executing, and analyzing in-vitro hemocompatibility tests, such as platelet function assays and whole blood models (e.g., Chandler-Loop), utilizing advanced techniques like flow cytometry and ELISA. The associate will also contribute to the development and optimization of novel hydrogel coatings for vascular implants and participate in preclinical implantation studies using animal models. The position requires a completed PhD in a natural science or engineering discipline, strong interest in blood coagulation and biochemistry, and proven competence in structured scientific documentation, publication, and project development, including third-party funding acquisition.
