Job Summary

This role involves joining the Calegari research group at the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD) to investigate the role of adult neurogenesis in cognitive functions. As a Scientific Associate or Postdoc, you will conduct independent research at the intersection of neurobiology and stem cell biology, specifically focusing on the olfactory system and hippocampus. Your daily responsibilities include planning and executing complex brain analyses using genetically modified mouse models, utilizing optogenetic and chemogenetic methods, and performing intricate surgical procedures. Beyond laboratory work, you will be actively involved in academic teaching, supervising students, and managing laboratory operations such as mouse colony maintenance. Required Skills
