Job Summary

This role supports the Facilities-Mechanical department at GlobalFoundries' Dresden site, focusing on the maintenance and operation of complex building technical systems, including approximately 50,000 m² of cleanroom space. The primary objective is ensuring the continuous, specification-compliant supply of critical resources—such as chilled water, hot water, supply and exhaust air, and vacuum—to the manufacturing facilities. Day-to-day tasks involve troubleshooting malfunctions, performing maintenance on technical building systems, operating cleanroom and ventilation systems, and monitoring plant performance using modern building control technology. Ideal candidates possess a vocational qualification in Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanics, or HVAC/Plumbing Mechanics/Technician fields, demonstrate enthusiasm for complex systems, and are willing to work in shifts. Basic English skills and familiarity with standard PC software are desirable qualifications for success in this critical infrastructure role.
