Job Summary

This role is ideal for a new graduate eager to join GlobalFoundries in Dresden, focusing on the integration of embedded non-volatile memories, specifically STT-MRAM technology, within advanced 300mm semiconductor manufacturing (22nm FDSOI node). Day-to-day responsibilities include developing, optimizing, and stabilizing the MRAM process integration, characterizing inline MTJ stack parameters, and implementing advanced monitoring techniques for process control. The engineer will be crucial in sustaining and improving manufacturing technologies, focusing on yield improvement, defect reduction, and cost efficiency. Success requires a strong background in electrical engineering, materials science, or physics, basic knowledge of CMOS process integration and magnetic non-volatile semiconductor memories, coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate across diverse teams (process, yield, quality) and contribute significantly to high-volume production and the development of emerging semiconductor technologies.

Required Skills

Education

M.Sc., Dipl. Ing, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in semiconductor technology, process integration, or unit process modules (Preferred)
  • Experience supporting new product introduction and production ramp-up
  • Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments (Plus)
