Job Summary

The Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology (Leibniz-HKI) is seeking a Head of (Bio-)Process Development to lead and advance their interdisciplinary bioprocess team. This leadership role involves designing and implementing comprehensive bioprocess chains, ranging from microliter to cubic meter scales, within an innovative environment focused on developing new natural product-based agents for infectious diseases. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and managing collaborations, spanning from basic research to large EU consortia, and actively acquiring third-party funding through grant proposals. Key qualifications include a PhD in Bioprocess Engineering or a related field, demonstrable experience in project management, and deep knowledge of bioprocess development and online analytics. This position, initially limited to three years, offers the opportunity to shape the future of bioprocess technology using state-of-the-art infrastructure and creative approaches within an excellent scientific network.
