Job Summary

This critical role within the Integrated Facility Management team at Frankfurt Airport (Fraport AG) focuses on ensuring the continuous and compliant operation of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). The Operational Engineer acts as the primary technical contact for clients, property areas, and construction representatives regarding IDS. Day-to-day tasks involve analyzing and assessing buildings and technical installations, generating expert reports, and providing decision-making foundations for management. A core responsibility is the coordination and execution of maintenance, repair, and renovation projects, managing these initiatives with full accountability for deadlines, costs, and results. Candidates must hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field, complemented by relevant professional experience. Success requires very strong analytical and strategic skills, excellent knowledge of legal regulations, contract law, project execution, and proficiency with MS Office and SAP R/3, alongside strong negotiation and communication abilities.
