Job Summary

This role involves working as a Chemical Laboratory Technician within the Department of Pollutant and Residue Analysis at the State Office for Agriculture, Food Safety, and Fisheries in Rostock. The core responsibilities include comprehensive sample management, from identity control and registration in LIMS to preparing laboratory and retention samples. A significant part of the job focuses on quality assurance, including the documentation, maintenance, and regular temperature checks of laboratory equipment. Crucially, the technician will perform residue analyses, specifically preparing samples for determining veterinary drug residues and mycotoxins in food, feed, and biological materials, primarily utilizing LC-MS/MS techniques. The ideal candidate must have a completed Chemical Laboratory Technician apprenticeship, possess strong organizational skills, be reliable, and demonstrate a high level of responsibility and quality awareness in their work. Experience in residue analysis is advantageous.
