Job Summary

This role is central to ensuring the digital future of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) by leading the integration and operation of critical GeoInformation (GeoInfo) IT solutions. As the Lead Expert, you will manage offers, contracts, and IT projects for the GeoInformation Service of the Bundeswehr (GeoInfoDBw), overseeing the transition from project delivery to stable IT operations. Key responsibilities include deriving solution-oriented customer requirements, coordinating service delivery between standard operations and specialized defense needs, and ensuring project execution meets time and budget constraints. The ideal candidate possesses a background in IT or Economics, coupled with over six years of experience in planning and implementing IT solutions, ideally specializing in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to national security by enhancing the Bundeswehr's command and operational capabilities through superior information dominance and decision-making speed.
