This role involves the independent planning, leadership, and execution of construction projects, specifically focusing on cable trenching and utilities within rail-bound infrastructure for clients like Deutsche Bahn AG. The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality, economical, and timely project execution, strictly adhering to contractual and budgetary requirements. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating and procuring personnel, equipment, machinery, and materials, and acting as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including internal teams (procurement, work preparation, claims management), subcontractors, and clients. Key qualifications include a degree in Civil Engineering, professional experience in comparable roles, strong knowledge of construction technology, and familiarity with industry-specific software and legal frameworks (VOB, BGB).
