Job Summary

This senior leadership role involves heading the IT Security Staff Office within the Regional Computing Center (RRZ) at the University of Hamburg, a central hub for IT services and infrastructure. The incumbent will hold personnel and technical responsibility, actively participating in the RRZ management team. Key responsibilities include planning and implementing strategic IT security architectures and projects, developing comprehensive security concepts in alignment with the Information Security Officer, and driving the implementation of information security management. Operationally, the role requires analyzing security incidents, conducting forensic analyses, and establishing and leading the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Incident Response Team. Candidates must possess a Master's degree (or equivalent) in IT Security or Informatics, proven practical experience with relevant certifications, and deep expertise in areas such as network security, SIEM, and incident management. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and fluency in German are essential for success in this demanding position.
