Job Summary
This position is a fixed-term, full-time PhD opportunity within the Institute of Medical Informatics, focusing on Machine Learning for Biomedical Data. The successful candidate will develop innovative machine learning methods, including explainability, interpretability, and causal inference, specifically applied to large-scale omics datasets and multi-modal data integration. The role is embedded within the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre 1748, focusing on reproductive biology and disease mechanisms. Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, possess strong knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and algorithm development, and have programming skills (Python, R, C/C++).
