Job Summary
This part-time role (19.25 hours/week) is based at the Institute of Cell Biology within the Center for Molecular Biology of Inflammation (ZMBE). You will support a research group investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms of gonad development, specifically focusing on vascular and lymphatic regulation using zebrafish models. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing zebrafish lines, performing molecular biology experiments such as CRISPR/Cas9 and PCR, and conducting microscopic analysis with subsequent data organization. You will also handle general laboratory organization and procurement processes. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to work in an international research environment with access to modern infrastructure. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or an equivalent qualification in a biological/technical field.
Experience
- Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or a comparable qualification
- Practical laboratory experience in molecular biology required
- Experience with animal experimental model systems (ideally zebrafish) is highly advantageous
- Experience in an international research team environment
