Job Summary
This position is a three-year, part-time (65%) PhD opportunity focusing on molecular biology within the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre 1748 'Principles of Reproduction' in Münster. The successful candidate will investigate the zygotene cilium and its role in human spermatogenesis, aiming to identify and functionally characterize novel genetic factors contributing to male infertility. Day-to-day tasks involve planning, executing, and analyzing experimental work using molecular biology techniques, microscopy, and bioinformatics. The role requires a Master’s degree in life sciences, strong interest in human genetics, and excellent English communication skills.
