Job Summary

This role is critical for shaping the future of grid operations at 50Hertz by ensuring the safe and stable transition to a sustainable energy world. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing DIN and VDE standards into 50Hertz internal regulations, leading the development of the Grid Control and Grid Operation (NNÜ) guideline, and representing the company in national standardization bodies (e.g., DKE). Day-to-day tasks include designing and conducting training sessions for qualified technical personnel (EuP, plant managers, electricians), contributing to medium-term outage planning, and supporting project handovers to grid operations. This position requires a strong background in electrical or energy engineering, multi-year professional experience in grid operations, and expert knowledge of DIN/VDE standards and operational safety practices, combining technical expertise with strategic regulatory responsibility.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or comparable field; Completed vocational training with an electrotechnical focus (Elektrotechnik, Energietechnik) or similar qualification.

Experience

  • Multi-year professional experience in grid operations
  • Multi-year professional experience in the application of norms and regulations
  • Multi-year professional experience in training technical personnel
  • Experience in project implementation with BIM systems (advantageous)
  • Experience in the SAP environment, especially SAP-PM (advantageous)
  • Experience as an operational engineer with infrastructure operators (advantageous)
