Job Summary

The University Hospital Düsseldorf (UKD) is seeking an experienced Biology Laboratory Technician for the Central Facility for Animal Research and Scientific Animal Welfare Tasks (ZETT). This role is crucial for supporting cutting-edge biomedical research by performing diverse laboratory investigations, including microbiology, serology, histology, and molecular biology. Day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting animal dissections, handling sample collection and processing, and meticulous documentation in compliance with legal regulations. The technician will also assist with embryo transfer, cryopreservation of rodent embryos, and preparation/care during surgical procedures for various experimental animal species. The ideal candidate must have completed training and possess several years of experience as a Biology Laboratory Technician, preferably in the veterinary medical field.
