Job Summary

The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) is seeking a motivated and strategic leader to head the 'IT Strategy and IT Planning' team in Bonn. This critical role involves coordinating the overarching IT strategy for the BSI, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and working closely with the CIO. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading a team of 16 employees and 7 apprentices, managing the strategic, organizational, and personnel direction of the IT planning function, and overseeing operational IT services. You will act as the central interface between the BSI and external IT service providers, manage IT support, IT demand management, and ensure the provision of new IT services. The position also involves responsibility for the vocational training program for IT specialists in system integration. The ideal candidate possesses a scientific or technical Master's degree and at least five years of proven experience in strategic and operational IT management, communication technology, and information security.
