Job Summary

This role involves serving as an Electrical Engineering Project Engineer within the Technical Property Management department of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. The successful candidate will lead smaller construction projects and complex interdisciplinary projects, focusing on electrical systems planning, cost estimation, tendering, awarding, and construction supervision for new constructions, renovations, and expansions, adhering to HOAI phases. Key responsibilities include technical documentation using CAFM/CAD systems, managing external specialist planning offices, and ensuring compliance with schedules, costs, and quality standards. This position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, at least three years of professional experience, and very strong knowledge of relevant technical regulations (DIN, VOB, HOAI). The role demands strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of responsibility, offering a stable, permanent position in a major German university setting.

Experience

  • Completed university degree in Engineering Sciences, preferably Electrical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of practical experience
  • Project leadership experience in interdisciplinary construction projects (advantageous)
  • Professional experience in technical documentation and system operation
