Job Summary

This role is for an experienced, detail-oriented individual to join the Data Center Engineering Operations Team, maintaining the critical physical infrastructure supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers. The primary goal is ensuring 100% availability and maintaining mission-critical server uptime (better than 99.999%). Day-to-day responsibilities include operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting all electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center facility. The technician will act as a technical resource, responding to internal customer requests via a ticketing system, performing site walkthroughs, and assisting contractors with equipment deployment, cabling, and rack building. This position drives innovation, reduces operational costs, and requires a commitment to maintaining a secure, scalable, and cost-effective computing environment for one of the world's largest cloud infrastructures.
