Development Engineering Leader, European Sovereign Cloud | Informatiker (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This pivotal role seeks an experienced Development Engineering Leader to spearhead the launch and ongoing operations of the AWS European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025. The incumbent will manage and lead both systems operations and development teams focused on delivering high-availability AWS services, including EC2, S3, Dynamo, and Lambda, exclusively for EU customers. Day-to-day responsibilities involve collaborating with global technology leaders, driving automation and engineering efficiency, and continuously enhancing the availability, reliability, and performance of the ESC infrastructure. The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and significant leadership experience in systems engineering, operations, and managing software development teams, coupled with hands-on expertise in networking, storage, and operating systems.
