Job Summary

This role is a critical leadership position within the newly established AWS European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) division. As a Systems Development Manager, you will oversee the launch and continuous operation of high-availability AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda specifically for EU customers. Your daily responsibilities include leading integrated operations and development teams, analyzing system performance, and driving automation to enhance reliability and efficiency. You will collaborate with global technology leaders to influence the evolution of AWS services while managing on-call escalations and strategic roadmaps. This position is unique as it offers the opportunity to build a 'best-in-class' engineering organization from the ground up for a sovereign cloud initiative.
