Job Summary

This is a key opportunity for a Lead Scientific Employee in Analytical Chemistry to join the VKTA, a leading scientific service provider focused on radioactivity, radiation protection, and waste disposal in Dresden-Rossendorf. The core function of this role is to manage and disciplinarily lead a dedicated working group while actively conducting complex chemical analyses, particularly for the declaration of residual materials and waste products. The incumbent will be responsible for working within an accredited laboratory environment, requiring strict adherence to quality assurance protocols. Furthermore, the role involves the continuous development and adaptation of analytical procedures to meet evolving customer requirements, alongside leading projects related to service and research contracts. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Natural Sciences, possesses strong knowledge of instrumental and analytical chemistry, and must be prepared for the physical demands of handling radioactive and hazardous materials. Leadership experience and initial practical experience in laboratory quality management are highly desirable for success in this influential position.
