Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Department of Plant and Environmental Monitoring at VKTA in Dresden-Rossendorf, a specialist in radiation protection and radionuclide analysis. The successful candidate will perform general laboratory work, including sample preparation and activity analysis using gamma spectrometry and liquid scintillation counting. A key focus is environmental monitoring, specifically immission monitoring during both standard operations and potential incidents. You will also contribute to quality assurance and the testing of new analytical methods. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA) or Physical-Technical Assistant (PTA).

Experience

  • Professional experience in radionuclide analysis and radiation protection is highly desirable
  • Several years of professional experience in a technical laboratory environment preferred
  • Experience in handling radioactive substances and working in radiation protection areas
